My purpose of travel was for shopping and sightseeing in Paris. I stayed at Excelsior Opera for 3 days. The hotel's location is perfect, being just a minute walk from Galeries Lafayette department store and close to the metro station. The friendly staff allowed me to check in early when the room was available. The room had tea and coffee making facilities, along with complimentary biscuits and cakes. The air conditioning worked well, which was a relief during the hot weather. The hotel was extremely clean, and the beds were comfortable. The receptionists were helpful and friendly. it was worth the money.
I recommend this hotel.

Lovely hotel, clean venue, tidy, location excellent, bed clean, staff is friendly.
Lack of slippers, a bathrobe and a 3-star hair conditioner is normal?

Helen
Clean, downtown, staff is friendly.
No criticism.

The hotel is located in a convenient area, close to major department stores such as Galerie Lafayette and Printemps. It is also near the Opera neighborhood, offering easy access to the Roissy Bus stop at Opera. The Chaussée d'Antin-La Fayette metro stop is just a short walk away, providing great connectivity to the city. The rooms are clean and well-stocked with amenities, and the staff is friendly and professional. Guests have mentioned the excellent customer service and the helpful tips provided by the front desk personnel.
One negative aspect is the noise from the subway that can be heard in some of the rooms.

Superb location. Good air-con. Nice to have a balcony to get fresh air and get a view of the buildings and streets nearby. The size of the room and bathroom is quite reasonable by Paris standard.
The bed is small and too soft. The lift is very very slow. The water boiler does not switch off automatically. And its plastic on/off button almost burned my finger when the water finished boiling.

The city location was ideal. Right next to Opera Garnier and Lafayette shopping centre. Central to all metros and a host of great eating options.Found the hotel room well prepared and well maintained. Staff at the desk only too pleased to advise on trips and Paris sightseeing. A genuine 3 Star and bordering on 4 star Hotel in my opinion. A bit noisy at night because of night traffic but this was ok with us.......a mature couple.
Nothing really. Have mentioned external noise from the street at night time but that is about all there is on the negative side.

This hotel in the heart of the Opera neighborhood offers great value for money. The location is perfect, just steps away from the Roissy Bus stop at Opera and surrounded by wonderful restaurants and boulangeries. The staff here are very friendly, always ready to assist with a good command of English. The rooms are clean and well-maintained, and some even have balconies with fabulous views of the Opera or a charming interior well-like "patio". Plus, the breakfast provided is a great way to start the day.
No major issues, everything was just fine.

just right in the centre of Paris. placed a couple of minutes walk to Opera Garnier, Galeries Lafayette and Printems. quite convenient for shopping and transportation. the desk clerks are nice. the room was clean and tidy for the age of the building itself.
room with very thin walls. even the spoken voice can pass through easily. one night staying may be fine but not for long term staying.

The Hotel is just behind Galaries Lafayette and the staff is very friendly and helpful. The metro is also literally at the doorsteps. Price is very affordable and reasonable for a Parisian hotel. The only thing is that the rooms are small but is still comfortable for 1 to 2 persons. Food is available all around with cafes and brasseries. There is also a supermarket just 2 shops away, especially useful for replenishing water, snacks and fruits and the other supermarket chain Monoprix is also 2 blocks down. Basic, practical hotel accommodation in good location. The other major differentiator is really my experience with the 2 gentlemen manning the frontdesk. They have completely set precedence for a lot of the poor service attitudes I had received in Paris on previous visits, helping me with all the directions on getting around which was quite a bit as I was meeting business associates as well. I tested this since landing from the airport and must have asked at least 20 people on directions just on the 1st day. Most people were not very helpful and even got the directions wrong. These 2 were just a league above and they did it with a smile and a great sense of humour.
Space is tight.
